Meta is turning enterprise software into a new business pillar. With the Meta Enterprise Platform, the company wants to bring its AI stack directly to businesses and developers. Initially named are Muse, Meta Business Agent, Muse API and Muse Code.
Meta bundles AI for businesses
Mark Zuckerberg describes the Enterprise Platform as a new pillar of Meta's business. The company wants to transfer models, agents, infrastructure and its existing business relationships into a dedicated enterprise offering.
Meta has not yet announced concrete prices, service levels, availability or country dates. For marketing and digital teams, the announcement is therefore strategic for now: Meta wants to market its AI not only in apps and devices, but as directly deployable enterprise software.
Muse and Business Agent take center stage
Muse has so far been visible mainly as a personal AI agent. Meta recently expanded it with shopping and commerce connections; Srocket has put the development of Muse and agentic shopping into context. Meta is also already showing Muse workflows for creator partnerships and strategy.
The Enterprise Platform adds Meta Business Agent, Muse API and Muse Code. Which features will be generally available at launch remains open.
CJ Desai takes over the new division
The Enterprise Platform is led by Chirantan "CJ" Desai. He moves from MongoDB to Meta and reports directly to Zuckerberg. Meta emphasizes building security and data protection into its enterprise products from the outset; specific control and compliance features were not described in the launch announcement.
For businesses, it is relevant that Meta is in parallel expanding its business plans and AI bundles as well as WhatsApp Business tools for AI agents. The Enterprise Platform takes this direction to a larger organizational level.
What marketers should watch
APIs, pricing, data controls and integrations will be decisive. Only these will show whether Meta builds a serious alternative to established cloud, CRM and agent platforms in the enterprise market, or mainly repackages existing Meta products.
