Snapchat is launching “Spend Smarter”, its first B2B creator campaign. Marketing and advertising creators are set to explain real customer cases and thereby draw media decision-makers' attention to Snapchat as a performance channel.
Creators are meant to reach ad decision-makers
The campaign initially starts in the USA and the UK and runs across Instagram, TikTok and Substack, among others. For this, Snapchat is drawing on voices from marketing, advertising and business and wants to show that the platform is also relevant for audiences that don't traditionally associate Snapchat with a B2B channel.
Social Media Today describes “Spend Smarter” as an extension of the performance pitch Snap recently built at its Performance Summit. The core idea: Snapchat wants to be perceived not only as an awareness or youth platform, but more strongly as part of media planning and budget allocation.
Snap puts performance more in the foreground
The official Snapchat for Business page now presents “Spend Smarter” as a central advertising message. Snap points there to ROAS, CPA and attribution figures from external measurement partners and its own data. Such figures depend heavily on campaign, market and measurement window and should therefore not be understood as a general guarantee.
The creator campaign complements several product and measurement steps: in September Snapchat introduced the Commerce Power Pack with Dynamic Product Ads in Sponsored Snaps. In parallel, Unified Attribution for app advertisers was rolled out worldwide. Creators and generative AI also play a larger role in Snapchat's ad growth strategy.
What German marketers can take away
The campaign itself does not initially run in Germany. The direction is nevertheless interesting: Snapchat is trying to position itself with agencies and ad decision-makers as a measurable performance channel with its own discovery effect. For German teams, the main signal is not to rule Snapchat out of the media mix across the board as a pure youth or awareness channel, but to test audience fit, incrementality and attribution concretely.
